Zen master Willigis Jaeger considered art to be a bridge between God and man. I could not describe it better.

In meditation I allow myself to be shaped by devotion to the universal power of love, as an artist I shape myself and take great pleasure in creating something that, for me personally, gives expression to the beauty and versatility of life.

What I especially like about daily life objects like handmade cups or plates is that they draw the attention to the here and now – because that is ultimately where life is happening. Life only happens in the here and now, and beautiful everyday objects can remind us of that.

For me personally, it has a special value when I drink my tea from a beautiful, handmade cup. Next to enjoying the tea I very much enjoy the beauty of the tea cup, which has been filled up with the energy of awareness, love and care through the making proces, which will stay with it forever.

It is these small things that can greatly enrich life by creating feelings of joy, love and gratitude, even in everyday situations.
