In the summer of 2018, I spent our summer holidays in Brittany together with my children. There, I created this series of ink drawings.

I had bought the beautiful, handmade paper 20 years earlier during my stay in India at the paper factory in Pondicherry, which is famous throughout India for the good and robust quality of its products made from textiles.

The wild and untouched nature of Brittany was a very suitable place to realise my idea for these drawings, which I had been nurturing for a long time.

Before picking up my brush, I took a moment to just enjoy the present with my eyes closed. Then I dipped the brush into the black ink and spontaneously created a drawing. In this way, a whole series of unique ink drawings emerged during our holiday, from which I made a special selection for you to choose.
