Art to Memorize

You are near, even if I don’t see you.
You are with me, even if you are far away.
You are in my heart, in my thoughts, in my life, always.

Are you looking for a unique and personal object for commemoration?

ANNUSCH creates handmade urns with a story. The images show her entire new collection of urns and may also serve as a source of inspiration for shaping your own personal wishes and ideas.

ANNUSCH’s repertoire is very broad and full of beautiful symbolism. She makes urns in various shapes and colours – from little ceremonial altars to softly splattering room fountains, but also exclusive grave statues such as sundials or angel sculptures, which can symbolically accompany our loved ones into their new existence.

Both suitable for indoors or outdoors, with text or with drawings, coated in pure gold or beautifully glazed, as a mini urn, as a single or a duo urn – there are so many possibilities to match your personal wishes and create a unique artwork which will safeguard the ashes tenderly and keep the memory of your loved one.

In addition, you and your family members have the unique opportunity to design and decorate the urn yourself during an unforgettable afternoon in ANNUSCH’s studio under the professional guidance of the artist. Delivery time: 4 to 6 weeks.

Urns in stock are immediately available.

ANNUSCH’s work is created in her studio on top of the roof of the building “De Hulk” in Almere Haven. You are always welcome to visit her in her studio.

If people choose for an urn, I want to give them something beautiful and special for a lasting memory – an object which over time may help to transform intense grief into a loving memory.

Annusch

“Before my mother died in 2002, she asked me to make an urn for her funeral.

Unfortunately, this was not possible in Germany at that time.

There were very strict rules, so we were forced to choose a standard industrial urn from what was available. Even today, there are strict norms in the different regions of Germany that an urn must meet.

Fortunately, they are not as strict in the Netherlands.

While designing my first collection of urns I often thought about my mother. Experimenting and playing with the different shapes and colours felt like giving shape to all my love and gratitude for her.

When someone has died, I know from my own experience that it is very hard for those who stay behind and who deeply love this person. It is a big challenge and takes a lot of strength to arrange everything afterwards.

If people choose for an urn, I want to give them something beautiful and special for a lasting memory – an object which over time may help to transform intense grief into a loving memory.”
