Love Bowl

High fired stoneware, 52 cm diameter, 15 cm high

This bowl is not primarily about sex – it is about love and joy, about giving and taking, and it is certainly meant to be humorous.

A good friend of mine had the spontaneous idea for the design of this bowl after holding my Love Cups in his hands, each with an erotic drawing of a couple. He thought it would be nice if I designed a big fruit bowl, decorated with a drawing of a group sex scene. You could then fill the bowl with fruit and when you had guests, the guests would eat the fruit and the erotic drawing would slowly appear. Then the guests would quickly fill the bowl with fruit again, and so the bowl would never be empty.
I thought it was a very funny idea and had a lot of fun to implement it.

The handthrown bowl is so large in diameter that it just barely fits in my oven.
I have already made it once to order, and if it is to be a gift, I have also designed a matching wrapping paper with a group sex scene that can be continued endlessly left and right and above and below. For a very special effect!
